Wenvoe Castle Golf Club – Conies Section
 
Just to alert members that the start of the new season will be on Tuesday 30th March 2010. All Members, both old and new, are welcome and the competitions are open to all handicaps.
The weekly competition, every Tuesday, starts with 9 holes stableford (either front or back nine holes) increasing to 12 holes and then 14 holes as the light improves during the summer months.
The entry fee is just £3.00 payable through the Club Professional and the last card is at 6.00pm. There are prizes for the highest stableford scores and a draw using the entry number of each player. Players must be 18 years of age to participate in the draw.
There are a number of special trophies which are competed for during the season and the names of the winners will be placed on a new board to be erected in the main bar. A Trophy will be awarded for the winner of the Merit Table which shows the accumulation of merit points awarded each week with 10 points for the weekly winner, 9 points for the runner up and so on with 10th place receiving the final point. In addition trophies will be awarded for the winner of the Birdie League and the Gross Eclectic.
The very popular ‘Away Day’ will be arranged and as usual there will be splendid prizes on display.
 
PLEASE COME ALONG AND SUPPORT ONE OF THE LONGEST RUNNING SECTIONS IN THE CLUB.
